Quality of Life

The Scottish Green Party stands for environmental and social justice. Greens in Glasgow and the West are working to improve the health, education and living standards of everyone.

Glasgow's Green councillors are actively working to deal with housing problems and support residents' groups, and have opposed the basis on which the recent school and nursery closure decisions were made. Development proposals which would harm local businesses and communities, such as the closure of Paddy's market, and the Partick Tesco plans, have been consistently opposed.
